Music Parents

WHAT IS MUSIC PARENTS ORGANIZATION?

The Lee’s Summit West High School Music Parents is an incorporated, not-for-profit group that strives to assist the band, choral, and orchestra programs at Lee’s Summit West High School.
The LSWHS Music Parents organization is made up of parents whose children are enrolled in the LSWHS vocal and/or instrumental music programs.

The Music Parents meet each month; these dates and times can be found on the calendar. These meetings are an invaluable source of information about course requirements, uniforms, concert dates, trips, etc.

The Music Parents provide financial, physical, and moral support for the music programs on a year-round basis. Various fund-raisers have provided video equipment, software, camp fees, awards, scholarships, uniforms, instruments, guest clinicians, and receptions, just to name a few.

As you may guess, there is a lot of work involved in the music program by students, teachers, and parents. But, the rewards are immeasurable! We look forward to a great school year.
Won’t you join us in making the music programs at LSWHS the best in the state?

HOW CAN I HELP?
The only requirement for being in the Music Parent organization is to have a student in one of the many performing ensembles at LSWHS. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, if you want to know how, contact the music parents president to get started!
