Taste of Lee's Summit and January notes

Good afternoon,

Taste of Lee’s Summit:

We could use a few parents and student combinations to volunteer to help collect donations/sponsorships for the Taste of Lee’s Summit. We have packets that will guide you through doing this and it can be done very quickly. I’m getting one myself.

Why is the Taste of Lee’s Summit important? This program is sponsored by the Lee’s Summit Education Foundation. The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation promotes excellence in education by awarding gifts, grants and scholarships to educational areas within the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District that are effective, essential and in need of additional funding. We do that by generating and guiding philanthropic resources through personal and corporate contributions, planned giving, and events.

The music parents organization receives funds from volunteering at TOLS. Funds that we receive help support the music program at LSW through scholarships, professional clinicians, travel expenses and awards to name a few.

In addition to this volunteers are needed to support the TOLS event on March 1. We’ll need 15 adult volunteers that are able to work on March 1st from about 5pm-9pm. I’ve heard that this is a fantastic evening, my wife and I’ll be there and we hope that you’ll join us.
