2013 Guard Auditions

Guard tryouts are open to all incoming freshman to 12th grade students.

  • Wednesday May 1st, Thursday May 2nd, and Friday May 3rd 6pm-8pm in the LSW Band Room
  • Please wear all black form fitting clothes and have a current physical turned into the office

It’s finally here, hope you are ready to go!

Here are some last minute reminders:

1. Be here on time.

Thurmond, Mosier, Krinke flights at 3:15

Kuhlman and Reed flights at 4:15

Sullivan, Keeney, Perry, Pherigo and Harrel flights at 5:15

2. Don’t forget your music!!!!!!

3. Flute, clarinet, oboe, trumpet, violins, violas don’t forget your instrument!!!!!

4. Percussionists don’t forget your stick bag!!!!!

5. ID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. BE ON TIME!!!!!!!!! We WILL leave you.

7. Money for the airports.

8. Bring a good attitude.

Concert Band Playing Test #3

Due Friday, March 8th: Practice this section of your music and record a playing test using SmartMusic at home or be prepared to perform a playing test on the computers during class. The benefit to completing your playing test at home is that you can practice and perform the test several times. You’ll have a 5-minute time slot to do the same in class, but you should spend plenty of time practicing the material at home so you are prepared — just like studying before a test. Music Patch Order Forms Due 3/8

2012-13 Music Patch Order Form

Music Students and Parents:

2012-2013 music patch order forms are now available from the music instructors. Orders are due FRIDAY, MARCH 8. Completed order forms accompanied by checks made out to LSW Music Parents with the student’s name in the memo portion of the check should be placed in a sealed envelope and left in one of the drop boxes in the choir or band rooms. Final pick up will be Friday, March 8. Any orders left after that will be returned. Information regarding late orders is on the bottom of the order form.
