Congrats to these All-State Choir members!

LSW had a record breaking year for all-state choir this past weekend. Out of an original pool of over 550 students from across KC metro, only 24 students plus 8 alternates are selected for the Missouri All-State Choir. 7 LSW students were selected through a rigorous audition process.

If you know any of these kids, please congratulate them, this is a huge deal for them!

Itinerary for tomorrow attached below in case you misplaced it
Very likely a late arrival home

3. Evening rehearsals are now over. 🙂

4. Playoff Football Game, next Friday, October 21st. Although tonight’s games in the area could change this, it is VERY likely we will have a home game next Friday. All call times and logistics remain the same. We will perform our marching show again at halftime.

5. Students who play a different instrument during concert season need to begin bringing that instrument/equipment starting this Monday.

6. Pep Band (basketball) schedule and assignments will come out next week. Expect to be a part of 1 game in December, 2 in January, and 2 in February. No additional rehearsals for this. As mentioned in the band handbook, this is a class requirement for Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. (Percussion Class will have a different class requirement to satisfy equal requirements)

Have a great Friday evening! Hope to see you all tomorrow cheering on the band’s last competitive performance of the season.
