Here are the playing test assignments for Three Ayres:

This section should be played in a light style with emphasis on accents and dynamics. It is not meant to sound like a march, so make sure that you aren’t playing too separated. Play at a mf dynamic until measure 147 where you will play forte. Measure 141 has the same notes and rhythms but note the accents and make sure that you can hear the contrast. The flutes are featured with the melody in this section. Listen to the rest of the flutes for intonation. Look out for the B natural accidentals!
