LSWMP January news and notes

Greetings,

Things are starting to pick up in the music program and it’s a very exciting time. On to the news and notes:

Music Festival

– This is quickly coming and there will be an email shortly. There are two parts to the music festival: solo/small ensemble and large ensemble. To give you an idea of how many people go through LSW – last year we had 6,800 performers over 6 days, 207 volunteer spots, we covered 850 hours with 126 unique volunteers!

Taste of Lee’s Summit

– We’ll need 15 volunteers for this event. I’m attaching some information on it to this email. I’ve done this event the past two years and absolutely love it, you get to meet so many people that are giving so much to the community. If you’d like to donate an item, valued at no less than $20 please contact Mary Grigsby at marygrigsby. If you have a preference for a volunteer slot for this please also email Mary and she can pass that on. Volunteer directions are at the end of this email.

Fundraising

– We’ll be having more give back nights but those haven’t been set in stone at this time. The Trash Bag fundraiser is set for the end of April.

Music trip –

We’re hoping that more information will be coming within the next month for this!

Patches

– If someone would be willing to help Debbie Burre do patches this year to learn how they work for next year that would be great. This is a once a year thing, for more information please contact Debbie
