Everybody
The band banquet is next Monday, Nov 23rd. The event officially starts at 7pm, however, we will start serving dinner around 6:30 so the line is not too long at 7. Traditionally, this is a dress-up event, so please have your child dress up for the banquet.
If you RSVP’d for more than 3 people, I will be collecting the additional $10/head at the front of the food line.
If you RSVP’d for less than 3 people, I will be transferring the other $10/head into your son/daughter’s music parents account to be spent on next year’s fees or trip.
A reminder that ALL students in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th hours are required to participate in 5 pep band performances. They have been assigned to one of the bands and have 5 specific dates to get on their calendar now. The first games are in January. Attached you will find the personnel lists AND schedule for each band. Please get these in your calendar now.
Percussion Ensemble
In addition to preparing music for our winter concert as an ensemble, each member of this class is performing WITH one of the three concert bands. This can/will change after each concert. Please make sure your student explains which group they are performing with so you can be aware.
Winter Concert is Monday, December 7th at 6pm.

Titan Pride Update, Saturday, October 31
Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight!
What a great season it was, wrapping it all up with the first annual Glow Show. It was a success and memories were made. Now on to celebrating!
Unfortunately, the Titan football team lost their game last night, so we will not be having anymore home games this season.
Future events/information
- All-District Band Auditions, Saturday, November 7th. For the students who have cleared the screening audition with me, your time is posted on the band room door. There are several kids who will be doing a second screening audition THIS Thursday to determine if they get to move on to Saturday’s audition or not. They MUST know their major/minor/chromatic scales or they cannot move on. In addition, they must be able to play ALL of the etudes and exercises in the audition packet. IF I decide they are not ready to move on, they will need to pay $10 for their forfeited audition spot.
- Band Banquet, Monday, November 23rd. Our marching season year-end banquet will be Monday, November 23rd at 7pm in the commons here at LSWHS. Look next week for a reservation form for family and friends.
- Winter Concert, Monday, December 7th. ALL members of Percussion Class, Freshman Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band will be performing in this concert. Please make sure your concert outfit is ready to go. The concert will begin at 6pm.
- Pep Band. We will begin playing at basketball games in January. Look for more information to come home concerning your group’s performance dates.
Finally, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of the volunteers from the marching season. It was amazing to watch the amount of commitment you all gave to the band. We couldn’t have been successful without you. We are blessed!
Have a great weekend!
