Announcing new band uniforms!
We’re excited to announce the new uniforms for the Titan Pride Marching Band. We think the design is awesome and we’re really looking forward to starting the next decade with a new look designed for the Titan Pride by DCI Hall of Fame member and Artistic Director of DCI, Michael Cesario, and produced by Fred J. Miller, Inc. (See information below about getting fitted for the uniforms)
Take a moment to imagine the unveiling in the two images below!
Fitting for new Titan Pride Marching Band uniforms!
Greetings! We have to have all of NEXT season’s marching band members fitted in the next few days. In an effort to provide several options for getting this done, we are going to start TOMORROW (Thursday) NIGHT at 6:00pm in the band room area. If your son/daughter is available to come sometime between 6 and 8pm for about 10-15 minutes, please come during that time. This will help expedite this tight deadline.
We are SUPER excited about what next year has to offer and it all starts right now!
March on Titan Pride!

During Cavalcade of Bands on Monday April 28th, the combined bands played a new piece of music written by Mr. Harrel with electronic accompaniment provided by Macbook Pro. We featured Mr. Harvey on trumpet and senior and 2-time All State Jazz Band member Isaiah Carter on drums.

MSHSAA State Festival Participants – information on POSTING OF RATINGS
We are looking forward to seeing everyone perform tomorrow. A change this year: RATINGS will no longer be posted outside of the Fine Arts Building. Instead, you will need to download a Free QR Reader App onto your phone. See below information from MSHSAA for more details.
In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and provide quicker feedback on ratings we will not be printing off the ratings and hanging on the windows of the Fine Arts Building. Instead we will create a barcode that you can scan that will take you directly to the published scores on the Festival Manager website. We will plan to publish and update ratings every hour. The time it takes to print off all the rooms, sort, tape pages together and hang the results will be eliminated. This should greatly increase the turnaround time in posting results and hopefully save a few trees!
The barcode and instructions will be placed on the window of the Fine Arts building and other buildings used for the festival. Each day will have a different barcode to scan. In order to access this information you will need to make sure you download a FREE QR Reader app on your smart phone. This app will work for all smartphones.
Thanks!

Good morning! Hope your Easter weekend was filled with joy and family time.
Here is some general information about the events taking place in the band department over the course of the next few weeks:
Jazz in the Courtyard, THIS Friday, April 25 6:00pm, LSW Courtyard
This is our major jazz concert of the year, featuring our very own Titan Jazz, the SLMS Jazz Band, and the jazz bands from both LSHS and LSN.
Call time for Titan Jazz members is 5:30pm
What a great opportunity for you and your family to enjoy a picnic dinner (provided by you, of course) in our beautiful courtyard along with some wonderful entertainment.
Even if you don’t have a kid in the band, please come enjoy this great evening.
Cavalcade of Bands I – Monday, April 28 7:00pm, LSW Fieldhouse
This is the final concert of the year for several of our groups. It will feature the 5th Grade Band from 7 elementary schools, the SLMS 7th Grade Band, the LSW Percussion Ensemble, and the combined Concert AND Symphonic Band.
This is the first year that the Symphonic Band will join forces with the Concert Band for this concert.
ALL band Titan Pride band members are to report for a 6:45 call time in the Fieldhouse and should be dressed in their concert uniforms.
The Concert Band boys will be handing their tuxedo in after the concert, so they will need to bring a change of clothes. This includes a jacket, pants, and cummerbund.
Also on this evening, we will be recognizing our Senior Class.
Cavalcade of Bands II – Tuesday, April 29 7:00pm, LSW Fieldhouse
This is the final concert of the year for several of our groups. It will feature the 6th Grade Band from 7 elementary schools, the SLMS 8th Grade Band, the LSW Titan Jazz, and the LSW Symphonic Band.
ALL Symphonic Band members are to report for a 6:45 call time in the Fieldhouse and should be dressed in their concert uniforms.
The Symphonic Band boys who are NOT in Symphony Orchestra will be handing their tuxedo in after the concert, so they will need to bring a change of clothes. This includes a jacket, pants, and cummerbund.
Also on this evening, we will be recognizing our Senior Class and handing out the coveted Arion Award.
LSW Music Awards Ceremony – Tuesday, May 6th 6:30pm, LSW PAC
This is the final event of the year for the band
Please come enjoy some fine honor performances by some of our best musicians
This is also the evening where many awards and recognitions are given and received
If your student has earned a music letter this year, this is the night he/she will receive it as well
Have a great week!
