The University of Missouri is handling parking differently for State Solo/Small Ensemble Festival this year. The usual parking garage off of Hitt st. is not allowed. They have set aside parking lot AV14 for music festival participants. The bad news is that it is a 20+ minute walk away.
I found that you can purchase a daily parking permit for $4. You can register your vehicle and purchase a VISITOR Lot (UAG) daily pass, effective 4/28-4/29. Lot UAG is near the Student Union where many of our performances will take place. Follow this link to purchase a daily permit:
For free lot AV14 (long ways away):
1. Lot AV14 is located by the Trowbridge Building. The lot is on both sides of East Campus Drive.

Information is available for the 2017 Summit Swings Jazz Camp.
This summer, we’re excited to host the camp at the brand new Missouri Innovation Campus in the Digital Media Technology recording studio space, which will be known as Studio One.
This workshop is designed to kick start jazz improv and theory skills and keep students working on basic music fundamentals throughout the summer. Topics include music theory, jazz style, improv, district/state audition preparation, listening, analysis and more!
This year the LSWHS Music Department gave memorable performances at the Kauffman Center and Fascination Photography took some amazing photos of the event. These photos are available to you for purchase! Here’s the good part. 100% of the proceeds go back to our music department.

Greetings from LSWHS!
Welcome, again, to the 2017 Marching Season. Things are starting to move in that direction and we are excited about the upcoming season. We will have music handed out before the end of the school year, as well as having our student leadership selected.
Attached here are two schedules:
1. Marching Band Camp Schedule – this will give you the dates we have practice over the summer, which is not until late July/early August. If you have a student in the percussion section, there are two camps listed in which they participate (make note). If you have a 9th grader, please note the additional two days of camp at the end of July.
2. MB Schedule 2017 – this is the schedule of events from the end of July through October pertaining to marching band. Anything in Bold is a performance. Please get these dates on the calendar now to prevent conflicts. It is important students are in attendance at each of these. If you feel you have an extenuating circumstance, please notify me early, as it helps us to plan accordingly.
Have a great end to the school year, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
