Information Re: Men's Choir Uniform

Dear Men’s Choir families,
In class today, we discussed the details regarding the Men’s Choir uniform for all of our concerts. In case this information doesn’t make it home, here are the details:
The Men’s Choir concert uniform consists of several parts:

  • A blue button down dress shirt (purchased through LSW).
  • A black wool blazer and silk tie (rented through LSW).
  • Solid black dress slacks (provided by the student)
  • A black belt, black socks, and black dress shoes (provided by the student)

Today, each boy was measured for his Men’s

Choir dress shirt. Blazers and ties will be

distributed in a few days. Each member

needs to provide their own dress slacks (solid black) as well as their dress

shoes, and belt.

A $30.00 Uniform Fee is due by September 19th.
This fee covers the purchase of the shirt, and rental of the jacket

and tie. If your student has been in Men’s Choir in a previous year and already owns a shirt, he is only required to pay

$10.00 to rent his blazer and tie. All checks payable to LSWHS.

Thank you so much for supporting your son, and

the LSW Men’s Choir. Hope to see you all

at our Fall Concert on October 14th.

Gearing up for a great year!

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! What an amazing group of kids we have to work with each day. Every choir is working hard, and getting started on music that will be performed for the Ice Cream Social, Sept. 9th.

We wanted to make sure of a couple of details before we get too far into the school year:

1). Each student should have brought home the Choir Syllabus. This contains required concert dates, as well as important information for all choir students. The Student/Parent Contract (yellow sheet) that was attached to that syllabus is due TOMORROW. If your student has not turned that in, there is one more day left. You can view the syllabus and other documents at www.titanmusic.org

2). On Friday, we are measuring all Freshman Women’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Band and Orchestra ladies for their concert dresses. We need a several moms to help us out with this process from 8:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Please email Mrs. Pabst if you are available to help out.

3). If your student is in Concert Choir (grades 10-12) the $25 robe rental/maintenance fee is due this Friday, August 29th. Checks payable to LSWHS.

Thank you again for your support. Keep your eye out for information about the Ice Cream Social coming up on Sept. 9th! We hope to have a great turn out from all of our Titan Choir Families.

Best,

Amy Krinke and Jacob Lowry

FNL DVD's and end of the year wrap-up

Thank you Choir Families for an amazing 2013-2014 school year! If you ordered an FNL DVD those have been mailed to you. If you have not received it within the next few days please email amy.krinke@leesummit.k12.mo.us. Also, the Senior Slideshow was not included in the DVD this year. If you would like a copy of the Senior Slideshow, you can pick one up at the main office here at LSW during normal business hours.

As we conclude this year, I want to once again thank and send our well wishes to Ryan Sullivan – who forever is a Titan, even though he’s moving to Texas! Thank you Ryan, you have impacted so many lives in your short time at LSW. We will miss you tremendously, but are so excited for you and this new chapter. Good luck to you!

Have a wonderful summer everyone – See you in August!

Una Voce Chamber Choir 2014-2015

Thank you ALL for investing so much of your time and energy in the audition process for the 2014-2015 Chamber Choir. Obviously, this is an incredibly competitive process, but unfortunately there cannot be a place for everyone. I am so proud of each and every one of you. What amazing and talented students we have at Lee’s Summit West.

Good Morning Concert Choir Families!

Attached you will find the information for tomorrow night’s performance at the Kauffman Center. Your student will be given your family’s two tickets today. PLEASE make sure you get these tickets from your students today. Unfortunately, I do not have replacement tickets, and only have an exact number for the students we have. I will impress upon the importance of keeping track of these tickets with the kids today as well.

Kauffman Center Performance, April 1st – CONCERT CHOIR

Dear Concert Choir Families:

As you know, the Concert Choir has been invited to perform at the Kauffman Center next week, April 1, in collaboration with the University of Central Missouri as well as with several KC area High School Choirs. We have been awaiting a final itinerary from UCM, and now have that set (see below). This event requires parents/family to have a ticket to enter the performance. UCM is allowing only 2 tickets per student. Tickets are free, and will be given to students on MONDAY, March 31. Students will travel by bus to the Kauffman Center and can be released to parents following the performance if you would like to drive your student home. Singing in this venue is a tremendous opportunity and I sincerely hope you can attend to support our students.
